I want your opinion on this...


Ok... you can in fact talk like this in games I suppose: "Wat u mean?" or "U shud go 2 dat place..."

but is it really ok to talk like that EVERYWHERE!? Like in a forum?

My opinion is that it isn´t... how could you understand the people if they think you can? You cant can you?

I know it´s a fast way of writing, but do we have to talk like that? The answer is no, we dont... so... my suggestion is that we cut the crap and write normally in forums and you can speak your little 1337-talk in games....

Sorry... but I dislike the so called 1337-talk.... I mean "u"!? That´s just plain dumb...

but the worst one is "dat" wth does the word "THAT" with a th in it has to do with "dat"!?

btw "dat" can be seen as "daat" (like in "darn") so some might not recognize the word...

Then there´s this chopped up style too... "what u mean?" this means in exact words : "What you mean?" which makes the question totally out of control... you think that you asked the right question, but you aren´t... instead you ask ANOTHER question that many dumb people actually accepts that this means: "What do you mean?"

I just ask us that CAN write correctly... is this accetable in forums? Do we HAVE to put up with them?

I agree with you.

In games, I think it is ok. You want to type something quickly and that is ideal. But on a forum, one needs to think through what they have written. Edit and spellcheck it. Its a respect thing to not use the shortened version of words. You wouldn't do it for school or work. Don't do it here.

My point exactly! They actually write these words unawared that this shows how much they learned in school... this of course happens by mistakes... and sometimes the persons can actually write the real words... the facts are obvious... they´re lazy... well.. either that or really stupid... it´s good to see at least one agrees... thanks for your respons Pixie...

You will have to do it elsewhere I think... I think I will copy this thread and add it elsewhere anyway... I´m quitting this forum... maybe it will show up in my trickster or tricksteronline´s own forum... idk...
