Thread Edit-- If there are any concerns regarding general RPing or the RP board itself, post in this thread and we'll get to you soon.
First of all, I would like to thank VeGeTa for accepting my petition and giving us a chance to have this RP board. Thank you very much!
For all new RPers, I will start to write the things you all need to know very soon. These would include quick tutorials and start-up files that will help you guys get writing. Though I am pretty sure that other experienced RPers are willing to help you guys get through as well. \^-^
For a brief, quick background; I quote myself about what "RPing" is.
Roleplaying, take it to its literal term. To "play" a "role" as one or more characters, which means you are to act as a specific character(s) that may or may not be like you. (Usually, characters are not like their players.) Roleplays may either be "original" or "fan fiction." In roleplaying, two or more players write together, taking a rotation of turns, and create a sequence that would lead to a story. Here's one of the many rules in roleplaying: A player cannot use another player's characters, he/she can only use his own.
Here are some common terms used in roleplays:
~ RP - short for roleplay
~ IC - in-character, used to indicate if a player is speaking by means of his/her character(s)
~ OOC - out of character, used to indicate if a player is speaking in his/her REAL identity
~ Godmodding or God Mode - when a character is ridiculously too strong in terms of characteristics (eg. cannot die/be harmed/be touched, always in the middle of the spotlight, etc.) Godmodding is highly discouraged in RPing!
To-Do List:
[x] Roleplay Rules - Yes, even RPing has rules.
[x] Character Registration - Place to put profiles in. If necessary, a possible rule of character(s) approval shall be implemented.
[x] Basic Roleplay Tutorial - A basic rookie guide on roleplaying.
[x] Out of Character Thread - Place to discuss with other RPers about RP plans.
[x] Question & Answer / Suggestions Thread (I guess I'll just turn this thread into this.)
-- Yatta ne! Completed!! \^O^

Help would be greatly appreciated. ^-^ It's always nice to know you're willing to assist. And if there are enough volunteers, then I could do assignments for the helpees, just so we won't have to grab the jobs already being done.

Pardon for the double-post, but I am going to update this.
1) Pinned Roh's RP tutorial. (Props to Roh for doing the awesome guide.)
2) Updated To-Do List.
3) Will rename this topic soon to "Question & Answer / Suggestions" thread.
Again, to all helpees, please INFORM me of what job you please to do. I will take note of them and make sure that no job will be multiplied for time management. Thank you.

Hee hee. It's quite all right. Let's just keep on working together. ^-^
I'm honored to have helping hands, especially from talented people like you, and I'm very grateful for your contribution. This applies for all others who will help in the future as well.
I will just add more things that will be needed sometime soon. Congrats for making that wonderful guide again. *gives you a whole pack of chocolates*

I read the rules topic, and I'm wondering if we must absolutely register, cause I tend to use temporary characters only.
On the other hand, the way the profiles are done in lists and not desctriptive..Um..Paragraphs kind of restrains me from doing my best.
For me, there's not much room for creation, unless I've totally misread something. ._.;;
And another question, we're allowed to have any kind topic to roleplay, right? Not just something Trickster based or such?

1) It is suggested that players would just create one or a pool of characters that he/she would keep. We have to remember that most of the interested players here are newbies. It is done to make sure that no "indecent" characters would float about. Also, it would be easier for others to "know" your characters, because over the time that you RP the registered character(s), people will eventually get to know the said chara(s).
2) Actually, even though the profiles are in lists, as I have mentioned in one of the tips, it is recommended that more details are inputted. So it's either that players input summarized data or very detailed data.
3) People are NOT forced to type in paragraphs. They are allowed to use what kind of RP style that he/she wants. Paragraphs are merely highly recommended.
4) Yes, you are allowed to register either original or fan fiction characters. You are, therefore, allowed to RP original or fan fiction stories. Please go over the rules again as I have mentioned in Part I about how to mark your RP threads of its content.

So, if this is a Question/answers thread, I'll post my question here:
Q: I create my own RP, do I need to post my character at the Topic Registration still? Or shall I create my own and let my characters register there for my own RP?
'Cuz I want to create a Trickster Online <.<;
Thanks yous in advance.

The Character Registration acts like a directory of characters as well, so all characters need to be placed there and be approved before they could be used by their respective players who registered them.
The following types of characters need to be registered:
- original charas
- fan fiction or doujin charas
The following types of characters do NOT need to be registered:
- canon or official charas from anime or games
** these types of characters can be directly roleplayed in a thread
Why register and why the approval method?
- to prevent people from creating retarded or god-like characters
- to avoid people from copying others' characters
- to encourge people to create their own original characters
