Ok first of all this was working just fine like 2 days ago before I went out of town then I get back and find a patch download. I'm like alright i'll let it download and then play and set-up shop and go to bed..I was tired. So I download the the patch in like 5 minutes and then press the start button from the splash and I get this stupid error message. I've done a crap load of reading and tried these possible solutions cause they have worked for others and not me...
- I've tried opening from the splash.exe get the same message...
- I've tried it normally and then repeated it normally for 15 minutes thinking it would a server full problem
- I've tried downloading someone else's gameguard PRO edition and that didn't work
- I've waited about a day now trying different ideas that i've read from many different forums
Now if you could please help me I would appreciate it and sorry I haven't posted as much i'll change that very soon.

That message usually means that the NProtect server is down and it can't connect to it to check for the newest version.
This is a different error than 'NProtectErrString', which is issued when an arbitrary program tries to modify the code.

Hey I've been getting the same problem. At first I'll be able to play perfectly fine and I'll exit the game when I'm done. But when I try to start it up again I get that error message "Failure NProtect Init(). I've found that restarting my computer allows me the start the game normally, but if I ever quit the game and try to play again later, it won't work. Does anyone know how to fix the problem so I don't have to restart my computer everytime I want to play?
